A rather cloudy but mostly dry morning with some bright spells. Through the afternoon, showers will develop across southern and eastern Ireland, Wales and northern England, with some turning heavy and slow-moving. Highs reaching 12C in the west and 16C in the east.

Most showers will gradually clear through the evening, with only a few lingering across northern England. Clearer skies will develop across southern and central England, as well as northern Scotland. Temperatures falling to 8C in the south and 3C in the north.
